Coronavirus Anxiety?


Abstract:
The Coronavirus has had a major effect on our daily lives and most of us have faced mental stress As all of us have been told to distance ourselves from others and meeting with our close ones has been reduced. The lives are not normal like they used to be and most of us feel lonely as well as isolated. It is totally normal to feel these kinds of emotions but some of us take it to another level and we are more likely to suffer from mental health disorders like anxiety, depression, etc. Through this article, we are going to discuss more the anxiety people are suffering during this pandemic and its management.

Introduction:
It is a time where we are frightened and feel stressed due to coronavirus, you are not alone. Coronavirus has almost put a ripping effect on each of our lives and it affects the way we all live. So much has changed in a very short time and anxiety makes us pay attention to our protection.  But whenever a human being becomes overwhelmed, our brain becomes less aware to rise from a challenge, and sometimes we are stuck.

Understanding your Anxiety:
Coronavirus is a condition that causes multiple respiratory problems leading up to death so it’s very normal to worry about the disease. Some of us are in the area where this infection is getting worse and there is nothing we can do. Each and every one of us is watching the headlines on the news and thinking “when is everything going to end”?

There are many people who are surrounded by uncertainty and this is what makes it hard to handle. We still don’t have any idea what exactly is going to impact and how long this is going to last or how bad things will get. There are some things that can be done to avoid this crisis and this fear, as well as anxiety, can be managed.

Keep Yourself informed:
It is very important to have knowledge about daily routine and what is going on in the community. Also following the safety measures can be helped in slowing down the process of spreading coronavirus. This should also be remembered that there is much information being spread through social media which is making people more anxious. It is important to read information and what should be taken seriously or not.

 ▪  Always believe in trustworthy sources like the World Health Organization or the local public authorities.
▪  It is important to stay away from the media whenever you feel overwhelmed by it and avoiding it will make you feel better. Try limiting the use of social media and make a timetable.
▪  Always be Careful before sharing information and because sometimes unnecessary rumors can result in a panic attack.

Always focus on the thing that you are able to control:
We all are in sudden massive changes in our lives and there many changes we can do to control it like how we behave or with whom we are communicating.  Whenever you feel fear of anything and think that you don’t have any control over some things. Their things we can’t control like the spreading of coronavirus but there are a few things that can be done including:- 

▪  Wash hands at least for 20 seconds with soap and use sanitizer with 60 percent alcohol whenever you are out from home.
▪  Make sure not to touch the face particularly the mouth, eyes, and nose.
▪  Try to stay at home as much as possible and avoid going out if you feel sick.
▪  Keep 6 feet of distance between you and the other person
▪  Avoid unnecessary traveling and shopping.
▪  It is very important to get plenty of sleep and this will naturally increase the immune system.

Maintain Contact with everyone even in this isolation:
There is much evidence that shows people who are young and suffer from coronavirus seem healthy as they do not show any symptoms but are spreading the virus. There are things that can be done to avoid this mistake and the best way is social distancing. But this also brings a lot of risk on its own and we as humans are social animals. Isolation can aggravate depression and anxiety, this also puts a negative impact on physical health.  

 ▪  Social media is a powerful tool and it helps in connecting with friends as well as family. The feeling of being connected with everyone makes us real and it makes us feel that we are not alone.
▪  Do not allow the coronavirus to dominate upon you and instead take breaks. Try to maintain a company with people and have conversations on calls.

Take care of Spirit, Body, and Mind:
▪  This is a time when people are suffering a lot and are trying to manage stress. This can be done by eating healthy meals, getting good sleep, or meditating.
▪  Maintain a daily routine and try best to stick to a habit like regularly going to sleep or exercising.
▪  Getting out and getting in contact with sunshine and taking fresh air is very helpful.
