GREEVA SHAKTI VIKASKA - YOGA
Not many people realize the importance of maintaining a flexible & strong neck. But those who understand the anatomy & physiology of human body can tell you straightway that your neck holds the key to keeping you relaxed or tensed, depnding upon how you treat it.
This Yogic exercise makes the neck joints and muscles very strong and flexible. Regular practice of this exercise can give instant relief in cervical spondylitis, headaches and many other stress related problems.
TECHNIQUE:-
Follow these instructions carefully to completely understand the way you should perform above shown exercise.
Sit comfortably in Sukhasana or Vajrasana and keep your palms on each knee.
Inhaling rotate your neck clock wise and anti clock wise, one after the other. Breathe in as you start rotating your head and breathe out as you hang your head down in the centre.
Rotating your head clockwise, starting from the left side and letting it hang loosely in the centre and then returning anti-clockwise reaching back to the centre will formulate one round of Greeva Shakti Vikasak.
In the first week practice 3-5 rounds only but very slowly and without any jerk. With the regular practice you may increase this Greeva Shakti Vikaska up to 10-12 rounds.
PRECAUTION:-
Patients suffering from severe cervical spondylitis, neck pain and dizziness must not practice this exercise.
