It is both a blessing and a curse how life changes without our consent.
I feel like having a banter with life, for it has left me feeling very
unsettling. Doesn't it happen with us all at some point? Life has its way to
usurp the throne from us when we try unifying ourselves, often making us feel
broken. We are all broken in some way or another. On this journey of life, we
pass through different incidents that take away a piece of us. Be it the loss
of a loved one, failure to achieve something, or maybe parting ways with
someone you never wanted to let go of, all of this leaves a void within us and
makes us feel broken.
Finding the way towards light every time such an incident occurs seems
like a daunting task. Regardless of what life throws at us, we need to pick up
the pieces and rebuild ourselves. Often, we might not see this path instantly,
but with time, everything heals. Let us discuss some ways to build ourselves a
better life and achieve peace of mind.
- Go through the pain you are
experiencing. Don't avoid it.
Dealing with your feelings and moving past them might seem like the most
arduous task. However, it is essential to grieve your pain to move on in life.
Cry when you feel like, express your feelings until you feel free. Inculcate
the habit of Mindfulness. Do not try to control, ignore or manipulate your
pain.
2.
Engage yourself in your favorite
pastimes.
Keep yourself distracted and engaged. Do the things you love which were
not a part of your daily routine before. Give time to your hobbies. Develop new
skills. Take a walk, read a book, watch a movie. Inculcate hope and give
yourself another chance to build yourself better than ever. Do something
especially for yourself, for your good and growth.
3.
Set Targets
The healing process does not take place overnight and requires time and
persistence. Set some daily goals and work towards them. Take one step at a
time. Slow healing is always better than no healing. Accept your situation,
accept the reality and build confidence to overcome any situation.
4.
Surround yourself with positive
people
Speak with your close friends and family about what you are going
through. Do some fun activities, hang out, eat at a restaurant, go out for a
picnic, etc. Try to recapture the lost meaning of life. Be with people who
motivate you to be your best and stick with you through your thick and
thin.
5.
Therapy
When nothing works out, and you cannot move ahead from the state of fear
and sadness, it's time to consult someone professional and get help.
Life always has a solution to every problem we face. It takes a while
and a positive mind to find these answers. With a strong will and a positive
mindset, you will come out stronger than ever. When you seek for a happy and
peaceful heart, you'll find it.
