Healthy Diet Schedule:
What you put inside your body has a lasting effect on
your physical health and immune system. Thus, you need to make sure you eat a
wholesome diet during the quarantine period.
If you have tested positive or are experiencing symptoms
of Covid-19, you need to quarantine yourself. In these difficult
times, you need to take utmost care to eat healthily and keep an eye on the
water level in your body. Thus, your body needs to get sufficient fiber,
calcium, fats, vitamins, minerals during this period.
Stick to vegetarian meals during quarantine as much as
possible, as they are easy to digest and absorb quickly. Eat after short
intervals as your body needs more energy than usual to fight the virus.
We have curated a diet for all the quarantined people by researching the advice put forth by dieticians. Thus, you can customize it and follow it rigorously to boost your overall health.
8:00 AM
Add ginger extracts, clove, lemon, cinnamon stick, and
black pepper to 50ml water and bring it to boil.
This concoction will help in boosting immunity and kill unwanted bacteria in our body. If you have a sore throat, the warm water will help soothe the soreness and make you feel at ease.
Breakfast: Between 8:30 AM to 9 AM
Breakfasts are the most important meals of the day. Make
it your priority, and never skip breakfasts during quarantine.
Avoid heavy and oily breakfast when quarantining. Have
rice flakes/corn flakes or oats with milk.
Top it with nuts, fruits, or seeds. This step is
optional, and you can customize it as per your preference.
This breakfast is light and contains fiber, calcium, and
essential fats. This will improve your digestion and make you feel full.
10:00 AM
Soak some raisins and almonds overnight and consume them
at this time. Eating after short intervals will keep you full and avoid
overeating.
Lunch: 1:00 PM
Have your lunch at one. Make sure you have a balanced
diet. Your lunch plate should consist of cereals and pulses. Eat dal, rice,
sprouts, roti along with one bowl of cooked vegetables and a portion of salad
for lunch.
You may have a glass of buttermilk after lunch as well.
This food will provide your body with fiber, carbs, protein, probiotics (buttermilk), fats, and minerals.
5:30 PM
Eat seasonal and fresh fruits. Try to consume more
water-bearing fruits. Fruits having Vitamin C are vital during these times.
Fruits will replenish your energy, hydrate your body, and boost your immunity.
They help you gain energy, vitamins, and minerals.
Dinner: 8:00 PM
Try keeping your dinners light. Have Daliya Khichdi,
Kadhi-Khichdi, green vegetables, rice, and curd, etc., for dinners.
They will keep you energized and will be light to digest.
Before Sleep: 10:00 PM
Add a pinch of turmeric to warm milk. Drink it before you
go to sleep.
The turmeric milk induces sleep and cures congestion in
the throat.
Make sure you sleep well through the night. Have a lot of
water throughout the day. Avoid alcoholic beverages and junk food during this
time. While good food will enhance your physical health, take care of your mental health as well. Feed it with positivity. Ensure
hygiene and follow all the precautions to curb the virus from spreading.
