help us ensure our safety at this crucial hour. Here are some Ayurvedic and home
remedies that may enhance and boost your immunity and prevent the risks of
Covid-19. Remember, only a stellar immune system will help to give a tough
fight against coronavirus.
- Stay hydrated. Drink a lot of water throughout the day.
- Take two glasses of
water and add half a teaspoon of ginger powder, pepper powder, and long pepper
powder. You can get this mixture directly as well. It is known as Trikatu
Churna. Boil this mixture until it reduces to half of its quantity. Add some
Tulsi leaves and jaggery as per your taste requirement. Drink this solution
twice a day, an hour before your meals. This decoction may help in curing the
respiratory symptoms you experience.
- Take warm water and
add a pinch of turmeric and salt to it. Gargle with that mixture. Triphala, a
combination of dried fruits of Emblica Officinalis, Terminalia Chebula,
Terminalia Billerica, can also help gargle. These will help with clearing a
choked throat. Triphala is a rich source of Vitamin C and Vitamin A as well.
- Taking steam is one of the best options for home
remedies. Inhale the steam with carom seeds (Ajwain), mint leaves (Pudina), or
Eucalyptus oil twice a day.
- Amla juice, lemon water, and juice of citrus fruits
help hydrate and give vitamin C to your body. Vitamin C is vital for your
immunity system. Along with it, Amla treats cold, chronic bronchitis and helps
the respiratory system.
- Tinospora cordifolia commonly known as Giloy works
like magic against viral load, fever and infections.
- The mixture of Amla, cucumber and apple juice can
make wonders happen. It helps you feel more energetic and hydrated.
- Add Sattu in
buttermilk or water and drink it. Sattu is a powder made from roasted chana. It
is a rich source of protein and also a probiotic.
- Try and give a good
amount of sunlight to your body. Morning sunlight is a good source of Vitamin

- A teaspoon of Honey may prove beneficial in reducing your cough.
